It is important that we never think that the idea we propose is incoherent or makes little sense; then we will never be able to be people with initiative. The main thing to have initiative is to lose the fear of being rejected because any idea is better than having none.
If we are in a job interview, we can "sell" our capacity for initiative with examples from the past where we proposed ideas for a project and they were viewed favorably. Initiative is also a quality that demonstrates to others our capacity for innovation and imagination.
One way to develop initiative is to “train” observation. An observant person helps to better detect the needs of others and, thus, to be able to propose new projects and activities.
