The sales funnel is the continuation of the marketing funnel, that is, after having correctly applied the student acquisition strategy and having registered students for a certain course, degree or course, comes a second phase.

It may or may not be a long process, depending on the filters that each educational institution has, for example, after having shown interest in enrolling, you may go through a registration process.

Then, as a second filter, the person could go through a selection process toif he or nursing homes email list she meets the requirements to be an enrolled student.

And subsequently, a third filter that calls for the final registration of the student to officially enroll.

There are institutions that have these filters, others simply confirm enrollment after registering and begin the relationship with the student.

Depending on the filters your IE has, the sales funnel may or may not be extensive. In any case, in this funnel, just like in the marketing funnel, the intention is to naturally push the lead towards the final conversion.

Accompanied, of course, by content that allows for a natural flow and a simple process that provides a unique experience for the student.

Differences between both funnels
The difference is quite simple, the marketing funnel goes from the moment a visitor enters the website until he or she becomes an identified, interested and qualified lead. Once you get a qualification, two things happen:

It remains as an identified lead to continue lead nurturing through content.
Go to the sales funnel to start the registration process using the filters we mentioned above until you become a registered member.

While the sales funnel is a continuation of the previous one, but with the firm intention of converting it into enrollment.

That is, the marketing funnel wants to push the lead naturally into sales, while the sales funnel wants to convert leads into enrolled students.

So, while in the marketing funnel we qualify potential customers as unknown visitors, identified leads and qualified leads.

In the sales funnel we seek to filter them to keep those interested in enrolling through a selection process that goes from registration, evaluation and invitation.
