DKBC Cup draw, 2nd round men: First division relegated team hosts first division promoted team

The second round of the 2016/17 DKBC Men's Cup was drawn on Wednesday. In what is arguably the most exciting match, first division relegated team FEB Amberg will face first division promoted team FSV Erlangen-Bruck. Also welcoming first division teams are SC Regenburg (vs. KRC Kipfenberg) and 1. SSS Gut Holz Zeil (Nibelungen Lorsch).
The three international clubs, Rot-Weiß Zerbst (Intercontinental Cup), Victoria Bamberg (European Cup), and KC Schwabsberg (NBC Cup), received byes. On Saturday (September 10, 2016), the final participant photo editing services for the second round will be determined in the match between Germainia Borne and KTV Zeulenroda. The winner will have home advantage against TuS Leitzkau on October 8, 2016.
First-division relegated team Zwickau lost at home to ATSV Freiberg.
Three state cup representatives advanced to the next round.
The 2016/17 DKBC Cup began with eleven men's matches, two weeks before the official start of the national league season. Four matches were decided by sets at 4:4. First-division relegated team TSV Zwickau suffered a surprise 4:4 home defeat to ATSV Freiberg, 11.5:12.5 sets. The second relegated team, FEB Amberg, surprisingly prevailed 7:1 in Peiting. Three state cup representatives advanced to the next round: KSC Önsbach (6:2 against Kaiserslautern), TSG Kaiserslautern II (5:3 against second division newcomers SKG Singen), and SV Burgwerben (13:11 after extra time against second division newcomers SV Frieden Beyern). The match between Germania Borne and KTV Zeulenroda will not take place until September 10.
The first women's matches will not take place until October 9, 2016.
The 2016/17 2. Bundesliga Mitte 120 Women's league season begins on September 11, 2016. Due to the league's eleven teams, 22 matchdays will be played. The official season kicks off on September 16, 2016 (7:00 PM) with the match between TSV Breitengüßbach and newly promoted FSV Erlangen-Bruck. Representatives from all other Bundesliga teams are expected in Breitengüßbach for this match.
