When designing an eCommerce site, we can be very creative. A logo on the right, a video here, a pop-up there... However, to create a successful eCommerce site, we must focus on the user experience rather than the micro-details of its appearance. In fact, it's important for web design to serve the user rather than aesthetically, and we teach this in our web usability course .

To help you create an exceptional eCommerce experience, we've created this list of UX (User Experience) recommendations. We hope you find them useful.

Do you want to train in Digital Marketing? Yes I want
The advantages of a simple and uncomplicated design
Users come to your eCommerce bahamas mobile database store to make a purchase or perform any other activity; they don't come to evaluate the design's creativity . Therefore, we shouldn't add unnecessary design elements, especially if they complicate the task the visitor wants to perform.

Simplicity means:
– Don't use too many colors.
– Legible, well-sized fonts.
– Don't use more than three font families with three different sizes.

Platforms like Dropbox and Apple Pages are good examples of simple, clean designs that help with conversion, avoid user distraction, and make users happy .

Everything is not important
Prioritize information with visuals to draw visitors' attention to important content: calls to action, offers, and more.

Navigability [Do you know its principles?]
Create easy and intuitive navigation . Don't let the user think too long before clicking on the item that will take them to their destination.

Navigability is a UX criterion with basic guidelines such as these:
– A top menu with no more than 10 options;
– We include a search engine;
– We don't move information more than four clicks away from the website
's home page; – We offer consistent navigation, meaning elements don't change position as we change pages.

Deepen consistency
The website should have a consistent look and feel across all its pages . The user should feel like they're staying in the same place because everything is consistent. This is achieved by maintaining the same backgrounds, color palette, button designs, and so on. And of course, the same template for each type of page : one design for landing pages , one design for informational pages, and so on.
