– Time, Cooper. On this planet, Dr. Miller arrived just over an hour ago. And she probably died a few minutes ago. We were getting a time-distorted echo of the signal that she had indeed landed.
– That's a shame. Okay, well, let's wait 45 minutes then! And if anyone has a hairdryer, I'll take it.

And 43 minutes later (wow!), another big wave threatens. Quick, quick! Quick drying of the engines, and at the last second, Cooper restarts, takes off again and returns with TARS and Dr. Brand to the Endurance where, in his underwear and dressing gown, the older and balder Dr. Noir is waiting for them, who can't believe his eyes.

"Cooper? Brand? I... I've waited for you... so long."
– Dr. Noir? But good heavens, how long did you wait for us?
– 23 years old. 
– BUT? Including all our adventures, we were on the planet for less than an hour! That should only be 7 years at the most!
– Yes, but… uh… I don’t know? The time it takes to get there and back with the Endurance?
– What do we see the rest of the film do in just a few minutes?

– And besides, 23 years? Have we been guzzling Endurance fuel for 23 years to avoid putting ourselves in the exact orbit of the planet?

After a brief conversation where our heroes mention that neither Dr. Miller nor Dr. Barbe made it out, Dr. Noir informs them that he, for his part, has studied the black hole. His conclusions are: he found nothing. Brilliant. In fact, he thinks that if he could explore the black hole from the inside, he could find the data to solve the equation needed to tear the giant ships from gravity to accomplish NASA's Plan A (remember: evacuate a lot of people from Earth in a big ship to go and populate their new home). But right now, nothing.
