Step by step to install Google Analytics in the WordPress template

Before you begin the installation via the WordPress theme, it is important to note that we will be making changes to the code here.

Now, let's get into the tutorial. The first thing you'll need to do is log into your Analytics account and click on the gear at the bottom left of the screen. Next, select " Tracking Information " and then " Tracking Code ".


When you select "Tracking Code", you'll see a page like this:


One of the elements you'll see on this page is the famous tracking code . It's responsible for sending your site's information to Google Analytics.

Copy this code and go back to WordPress, in the editor located within " Appearance ".

Once you enter the editor, paste the code into uganda mobile database the "header.php" file. To access it, just click on the header link, located on the right side:


Did you find the header? Great, we're almost done! Now paste the code you copied from Google Analytics here.

Important: You must paste this script just before the </head> tag .

Finally, click on " Update File " and you're done! From now on, Google Analytics will start reading information from your website.
