Every sales interaction should have an ending

Post by pappu640 »

That could include resources like a content asset, an introduction to an expert, or a recommendation to read more about the topic you’re discussing. This demonstrates your ability to help and add value right from the start.

Ask

Don't underestimate the power of a thoughtful question to get the conversation going.

“Is [topic] a priority for you right now?”
"Do you have any unanswered questions about [topic]?"
«How, if anything, would you like to improve your strategy?»
Every conversation needs a starting compliance directors email lists point – a well-thought-out question is a surefire way to get things moving.

Interest
Again, everything about your messaging should be buyer-centric, and showing genuine interest is key to making that happen. Let them know you care about their situation here — the word “curious” never hurts.

Application
You're not starting a conversation with a prospect just to make small talk and go your separate ways. You need to explicitly define the next steps.

What are you hoping to get out of this message? A call? An email exchange? A referral? Whatever it is, make sure you ask for it in clear terms. If you've effectively piqued the prospect's interest, you'll have no problem getting them to follow through.

Keep in mind that “clear next steps” should never be presented in the form of a sales pitch. Overly “salesy” messages tend to fall flat. You’re trying to start a discussion with your message – the hard sell comes later.

Linkedin Prospecting Message Templates
Here are some other effective templates you can use for your LinkedIn prospecting efforts.

"Congratulations!"
Prospects, like anyone else, are proud of their accomplishments, especially when they're still fresh. That's why recent achievements can provide a solid foundation for an effective LinkedIn prospecting message.

A new promotion, a successful round of funding, or any other career or company milestone a prospect reaches provides an opportunity for connection. In this case, you don’t have to present anything—you just need to praise them to let them know you appreciate their success and that they’re on your mind.
