New Shapes magazine

Post by pilide2813 »

Shapes magazine, which we have been preparing since September 2024, brings a fresh perspective on the connection between architecture, design and development in the Czech context and beyond. In an interview with editor-in-chief Michaela Výtisková, we reveal the emergence of this platform, which has the ambition to inspire, connect and bring new perspectives on the transformation of living space. Through interviews with prominent personalities, presentations of innovative projects and collaboration with leaders in the field, SHAPES reveals the dynamics between architecture, art and development projects. We prepare content for Shapes every two months.
The magazine wants to offer not only information, but above all inspiration for the future development of cities and quality public space.

How did the idea to found finland telemarketing Shapes magazine come about?
It all started with a phone call. Kateřina Výmolová enthusiastically invited me to the Pulse festival. This was followed by a quick meeting with Miloš Štěpař, who publishes magazines such as Dolce Vita, Muži v Česku and EURO. It was there that we realized that a project would be created that would connect three areas that, in my opinion, must communicate with each other – development, architecture and design.

Who all is involved in running Shapes magazine?
The magazine is created by a team led by the Idealab agency, including editors Tomáš Sek and Radek Váni, who create the content of our magazine. The graphic design is taken care of by Studio Divize, specifically Karla Gondeková and Tomáš Brychta.

Why did you choose the name Shapes?
The name SHAPES reflects the essence of architecture – shaping and defining space. Architecture significantly influences how people use space, how they interact with each other and how economic activities develop in a given area. But it is not only about architecture; designers also create shapes when designing furniture or art objects. Art is now an integral part of interiors and development projects.
