Hidden in the middle of huge buildings covered in dark glass, in a corner of Barcelona, there is a modest office, Ipanema, where men and women, known as the Garotos, work every day, facing a fearsome dragon, Marketing. But despite its existence, they cannot see or touch it, they only feel its presence, and their only way to fight it is with metrics and results. The greater the visibility, positioning, clicks, openings, tasks performed... the weaker the dragon's hunger becomes. But they only achieve this when they work together, as a team and in coordination, despite the fact that each of them has their own function.
In the Ipanema team, made up of eight brave people ready to face any battle, we have David, the Eloquent. At all times he knows what to say, how to say it and when to say it to captivate ceo email lists your attention. To Núria, the Implacable Warrior. Her temperament is so strong that no one can bring her down. To Luís, the Jaranero. Capable of calming his team with just one phrase in a critical moment. To David, the “Yes” King. Whether you ask him for help or not, he will always be there to defend and rescue you. To Vanessa, the Multifaceted. She will defend herself by doing A, B, or C. To Àngels, the Inveterate Creative. She invents anything in minutes to win the battle. To Inma, Tenderness Personified. She has the entire audience in love, and to Ester, the Born Organizer. With one click she has everything organized and plotted.
Day after day they fight their battle, but it has been over the years, with the evolution of the Internet, that their shield has become stronger and brighter. However, this does not mean that from time to time they do not fall, but by working together they manage to get up, firm, strong, to face the next battle.
But his worst enemy is not actually the dragon, but the clock that marks the hours left before delivering those leaves that will end the dragon's hunger. The hours pass, and the times that hours before were being fulfilled have been disrupted as a result of unforeseen events.
The Relentless Warrior tries to buy more time. The Natural Organizer tries to organize time by priorities, while the “Yes” King and the Inveterate Creative work against the clock to get the inventions they need out on time. The Jaranero tries to calm them down with his clever phrases while he continues working side by side with the Inveterate Creative and the “Yes” King to transform what they have done into a reality that will serve as a defensive wall. The Multifaceted goes where she is needed to calm the dragon in time. And Tenderness Personified tries, with positive results, to charm the beast so that it does not become too impatient along with the words of the Eloquent.
They have less than 24 hours left to achieve their goal and they are trying to solve the unforeseen events that have arisen. But as they have always done, they are convinced that they will succeed. They are smart, brave, motivated and they love what they do, for all these reasons, they will surely succeed.
The dragon is starting to get impatient with the few hours left to eat. But the Garotos don't give up, they prepare to meet the challenge while the second hands are ticking at a dizzying pace. Design, Inbound, Content, Programming and Administration, all united, finish the tasks they have left until the big battle.
One hour to the meeting. Each of them puts on their armor and takes their most powerful weapons. The dragon is hungry and only their leaves can calm it.
12 o'clock, the dragon knocks on the door. The Garotos gather their things and stand before him. The dragon examines them, saying nothing. Tenderness Personified hands him the leaves he has collected from his companions and the dragon examines them carefully, one by one, slowly, while his face relaxes and so do the Garotos. Finally, the dragon nods, smiles and leaves the way he came. Everyone bursts into joy, another battle won.
And that's what marketing is all about, a battle that is fought day after day, since there will be times when a blog will have numerous visits and others not, that on a certain date many leads will be obtained and on another not, that a tweet will have thousands of likes and another only three, etc.
Marketing is a battle to understand user behavior, to see why a product/service is liked or not, to listen to the interests and needs of those who ask for it, to generate content that people love, but above all, it is the struggle to work as a team, to always learn and grow together.
