How to develop a strategic plan for an association

Post by ayshakhatun3113 »

Strategic Planning is a set of actions that is present, or should be, in the lives of every manager and team of an association. There is no way for a business to be sustainable without a minimum of planning. And planning needs to have a solid foundation, that is, the present moment needs to be well managed.

Basically, we can understand that Strategic Planning is a systemic process that allows you to define and plan the best path to be followed by a company or institution. With it, it is possible to outline and achieve previously analyzed objectives for your project. Good strategic planning can analyze scenarios, in addition to defining goals and actions to improve your project. And most importantly: to be well executed, it needs to involve all areas of your institution.

How does strategic planning work?
Your complete strategic planning is the result of the sum of 3 distinct parts: strategic, tactical and operational. Together, these analyses complement each other and form a more robust plan for your project (the analyses can be done separately, but the overall effect is much better).

Strategic Planning (in itself)
In Strategic Planning itself, the manager and team formalize bc data the vision for the future of the institution/company, its mission and values, and the goals they want to achieve. It is a sum of assessments that considers external and internal factors (the other two types of planning) and how this identified information can affect the pursuit of the objectives set.

Tactical Planning
In tactical planning, we do not observe the entire entity. Here, the manager and team focus their attention on a single department, or a specific process in the organizational or service chain, focusing on middle-level employees, such as managers.

Operational Planning
Operational planning, as the name suggests, focuses on the tasks and operations of the institution/company. This planning must include all employees (after all, everyone has daily work processes) and must have a time target of 3 to 6 months.
